WEEKLY HYDROLOGICAL FORECAST

for the period 21-March 27, 2020.

For the period 12.03-19.03.2020, the volume of moisture reserves decreased by 25-45% in the basins of Karaganda region, on 15-45% in the basins of Akmola region, 15% in the basins of North-Kazakhstan region, 45-95% in the basins of Kostanay and Aktobe oblasts (Annex 1).

the Depth of soil freezing decreased by 6-8 cm in the basins of Karaganda region, to 4-7 cm in the basins of Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions, 3-28 cm in the basins of Kostanay region and 1-27 cm in the basins of Aktobe region.

- along the river Kengir inflow in Kengir reservoir. (for transects GP Karakengir and Sarykengir) of 0.6-1.0 million m3.

For the period 12.03-19.03.2020, the volume of accumulated moisture reserves:

From the source to the Astana reservoir decreased by 127 million m3 and is 318 million m3.

At the pool R. Calcuttan (a tributary of Esil river) decreased by 281 million m3 and is 1452 million m3.

On the zhabay river basin (a tributary of Esil river) decreased by 154 million m3 and is 938 million m3.

To sergeevskoye reservoir decreased by 1 337 million m3 and is 6766 million m3.

the basin of the river Selety decreased by 248 million m3 and is 496 million m3.

the basin of the river Shagalaly decreased by 39 million m3, accounting for 49 million m3.

- by R. Selety the inflow into the reservoir Seletskoe. (for the target GP Bestogai) in the amount of 1.7-2.5 million m3;

- along the river Shagalaly influx Shavlinskoe reservoir. (for the target GP Pavlovka) in a volume of 12-18 million m3;

In Aktobe region

For the period 12.03-19.03.2020, the volume of accumulated moisture reserves:

- in the basin of the Ilek decreased by 149 million m3 and is 44 million m3;

- in the river basin of Kuragala decreased by 118 million m3 and is 93 million m3;

- along the river Ilek in Aktobe the inflow reservoir. (for the target GP Bestamak) and amount to 1.8-2.7 million m3;

In the West of Kazakhstanchinese

For the period 12.03-19.03.2020 in the basins of the Western Kazakhstan region, the snow cover is gone.

In Almaty region

For period 05.03-12.03.2020, the volume of accumulated moisture reserves:

- basin of Tobol and Ayat (tributary to Cartomancie reservoir.) decreased by 442 million m3 and is 289 million m3.

- along the river Tobol in the upper Tobol reservoir. (for the target SOE Grishenka) in the amount of 3.2-4.8 million m3;

- along the river Ayat in Ceratomerinae reservoir. (for the target SOE Varvarinka) in the amount of 0.89-1.34 million m3.

Mountain river

In the mountain rivers of the Eastern Kazakhstan Turkestan Zhambyl and Almaty regions, flood flows generated in the country, depends on the fallout of heavy precipitation.

On transboundary rivers

Given that 80-90% of the volume of water flow of transboundary rivers of the Syrdarya, Shu, Talas, Ural, Ertis and Ile is formed on the territory of neighboring States, and outside hydro-meteorological monitoring, RSE “Kazhydromet” is hydrological forecasts at the above transboundary rivers.

  Fraction of runoff, limit intake RK at the above transboundary rivers is determined by the agreement between the authorized state bodies in the sphere of water resources management at the intergovernmental joint commissions;

  Hydrological forecasts of water availability above-mentioned rivers (Syrdarya, Shu, Talas, Ural) is composed of Uzhydromet, Kyrgyzhydromet and Roshydromet sent to the previous hydrological forecasts.
