Weekly review of the Caspian sea surface condition

Forecast* of the Caspian Sea water level for July 4 –9, 2024

 

North Caspian: the average sea level is expected to be around minus 28,45 m, with fluctuations from minus 27,90 m to 29,26 m.

Middle Caspian: average sea level is expected to be around minus 28,97 m, with fluctuations from minus 28,60 m to 29,44 m.

* Calculations are received at use of the hydrodynamic module MIKE 21of the Danish Hydraulic Institutes adapted to conditions of the Caspian Sea in the RSE "Kazhydromet".

 

 Caspian Sea Water Surface, June 27 – July 3, 2024

 In the northern part of the Caspian Sea, according to operational data from marine stations of Kazhydromet: Peshnoy, Kulaly island and Roshydromet (isl. Tyuleniy), the average sea level corresponded to minus 28.27 m, the maximum minus 27.41 m, the minimum minus 29.28 m.

According to the operational data of the sea stations of Kazhydromet: Fort-Shevchenko, Aktau, Fetisovo and Roshydromet (Makhachkala), the average value of the level of the Caspian Sea, in its deep part, corresponded to minus 29 m, the maximum minus 28.35 m, the minimum minus 29.49 m..
