Kazhydromet releases drought forecast for June
According to the updated forecast, atmospheric drought is expected in June 2026:
in the Aktobe region in the Shalkar district;
in the Balkhash district of Almaty region;
in the Zhetisu region in Karatal district;
in the Kyzylorda region, in the Aral and Kazalinsky regions.
There is a high probability of local droughts in these areas.
In the rest of the country, humidification conditions are expected to be close to normal for this month.
