Published 20.07.2021 The forecast of the maturation dates of spring grain crops takes into account the timing of sowing, soil moisture reserves, damage to plants by pests and diseases, but the main factor in its compilation is the conditions of heat accumulation in the period from sowing to the onset of wax ripeness (one of the phases of ripeness, characterized by almost complete yellowing of the entire plant) in the observed areas.
According to preliminary calculations of RSE "Kazhydromet", the timing of the onset of wax ripeness of spring grain crops during the growing season of 2021 will be different.
In the main grain-bearing regions of the republic, the timing of the onset of the phases of the development of wax ripeness will be stretched, due to different sowing dates and conditions of soil moisture and heat accumulation. They are expected mainly around and before the usual maturation dates.
In the western regions, about the average long-term maturation time is expected. In the northern regions, it will mostly occur in the usual terms, except for some areas of the Kostanay region, where the terms will come earlier. In the center and in the east of the country, it is expected in the usual terms, in some places earlier. In the Almaty region – in the usual terms, except for the foothill areas, where the terms are a little later.
