Over the past few days, under the influence of an extensive high-altitude cyclone, cloudy weather persisted in the sulfur regions of the republic. At the same time, air flows brought a smoke screen from the forest fires of Siberia. The high moisture content in the surface layer of the atmosphere was favorable for the accumulation of the concentration of pollutants (gorenje products, exhaust gases, etc.).
For August 10-11, 2021, in the territory of Nur-Sultan, the excess of the maximum permissible norm in atmospheric air was recorded for nitrogen dioxide up to 1.7 MPC.
In the coming days, the restructuring of synoptic processes is expected. A large high-altitude cyclone will stop the formation of weather conditions in the north of Kazakhstan, which will cause the smoke screen to disperse and its further movement outside the country, which will be replaced by a fresh, cool air mass.
According to the forecast 12, rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected at night on August 13. Lowering the air temperature at night to 8-10 degrees Celsius, during the day 16-18 degrees celsius.
