Due to the fire of the ammunition depot in/h No. 28349 on August 26, 2021 at 19:10 hours (engineering and sapper brigade) of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, located in the Bayzak district, employees of the laboratory of the branch of the RSE "Kazgidrmet" in the Zhambyl region left for the Bayzak district to perform unscheduled sampling and analysis of atmospheric air samples.
The nearest settlements of Ashbulak (120 inhabitants), Zhibek Zholy (500 inhabitants), Kaynar (85 inhabitants), where the fire occurred, are located 20 km from the city of Taraz, in the south-eastern direction.
The concentrations of pollutants were measured by suspended particles (dust), nitrogen dioxide, nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde and hydrogen fluoride at 5 points.
