Specialists of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan, together with representatives of the American company BARON Services Inc, completed the installation and installation of the DMRL in zHezkazgan, Karaganda region.
Earlier, the installation of three DMRLS was completed in Taldykorgan, Almaty region and Torgai, Kostanay region and sHalkar, Aktobe region. Now the work on the commissioning and commissioning of radars is being completed there.
The DMRL is designed to detect and provide real-time, accurate information about the location and nature of the movement of zones of intense precipitation, thunderstorms, hail, squalls, turbulence zones, high wind speeds, etc. in large areas.
In 2018-2019, Kazhydromet purchased 5 DMRL produced in the USA. Radar information, in addition to the data of the ground meteorological network, will make it possible to predict the weather for different periods of time - 1-3 hours (science casting) according to the data of one DMRL and up to one day according to the maps of a single radar field, adjust forecasts, develop storm warnings.
Given the sharply continental nature of Kazakhstan's climate, a detailed weather forecast for the coming hours is very popular in our republic, where frequent weather changes are observed.
