The observational meteorological network of the Mangystau region consists of 16 operating weather stations: Aktau, Fort Shevchenko, Beineu, Kyzan, Sam, Opornaya, Kulaly, Tushibek, Akkudyk, Sai-UTES, Zhanaozen, Zhetybai, Bolashak, Kalamkas, Kuryk, Ushtagan. Of these, 3 stations are marine, 9 stations are automatic, and 3 are additionally conducted agrometeorological observations. According to the approved observation plan for 2020 and the 1st half of 2021, all types of meteorological observations and works were carried out in a timely manner and in full, no disruptions of synoptic information were detected.
MS Akkuduk, MS Sayotes, MS Support, MS Kuryk, MS Kalamkas have been transferred to the category of AMC since September 1, 2020
In 2020, a fence was installed at the Akkudyk AMC. Automatic meteorological stations have successfully passed verification this year. The station is operating normally. Operational data is sent to the Weather Portal.RZ

This year, internal repairs were made to the office space, the facade of the building, the utility room, the installation of an automatic weather station fence.
All meteorological, hydrometeorological stations of the branch of the RSE "Kazhydromet" in the Mangystau region, as well as the ecological post of the SEZ "Seaport Aktau" are equipped with appropriate fire extinguishing means, automatic fire alarms are installed.
Employees of the branch annually participate in Republican command and staff exercises as part of the regional Civil Defense service (Koktem-2021, Kys-2021, Agyn-2021, Korgau-2021, Kalkan-2021), as well as emergency rescue exercises in peacetime and wartime are held in the branch. In order to improve the management, notification and communication systems, the senior personnel of the formations of the GO branch in the emergency department in the Mangystau region are systematically sent for advanced training. The branch has a control point of the Hydrometeorological Service of Civil Protection, where a communication center is located, equipped with computers, round-the-clock telephone, mobile and radio communications, as well as Internet resources.
