Recently, a meeting was held with public representatives of the Karaganda region: Irina Ignatovich, coordinator of educational programs of the ECOMUSEUM, Maria Tyuryusheva, project manager, member of the working group of the Green Council under the Akimat of the Karaganda region, Roman Kostylev, representative of eCoservice-S LLP.
Since 2020, public funds and eco-activists have been actively integrating the data of their stations and sensors with the national mobile application for atmospheric air quality "Airkz". Social activists of Temirtau also addressed a similar question. At this meeting, the issues of inclusion in the "AIRKZ" readings of 3 stations installed by Arcelormital Temirtau LLP by order of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management in the Karaganda region, as well as 7 sensors of citizens of Temirtau were discussed.
Kazhydromet explained the need to comply with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of technical regulation and expressed readiness for integration.
Activists at the meeting were also interested in the standards that underlie the color gradation of pollution: red – a high level of pollution, yellow - elevated, green - low. And discussed the prospects for the development of online access to information about air quality and modeling of its pollution.
