The event was attended by representatives of RSE "Kazhydromet" - ecologists and climatologists. The concept of the international conference "Sustainable Development Goals in the service of the Economy" is designed to identify priority areas for improving human well-being and protecting the planet Earth. All the goals discussed at the conference are aimed at solving a number of issues in the field of education, health, social protection and employment, as well as combating climate change and protecting the environment. The participation of eco-activists of the CIS, the EEC, NGOs and business representatives gives a significant impetus, and the format of the public platform allows for the exchange of experience and contributes to improving the interaction of all interested participants to accelerate the achievement of the goals of the conference.
Director of the Research Center of RSE Kazhydromet Nurlan Abayev acted as a speaker on the ecological state of the environment in Kazakhstan, spoke about climate change and its consequences for the economy.
The conference was held in the format of questions and answers.
During the first day, the participants discussed the issues of promoting the principles and approaches of effective environmental education and the possibilities of the state, business and civil society in promoting the continuous development of human capital. The second day was devoted to online trainings for participants and eco-volunteers and summing up the results of the conference.
