Published 08.02.2022 On February 7-10, the Department of Agrometeorological Monitoring and Forecasting of RSE "Kazhydromet" holds seminars for employees of the observation network in the regions in online format. Such seminars are held in order to improve the skills of employees of the observation network working in 15 branches of the National Hydrometeorological Service. In addition to training, Kazhydromet regularly conducts methodological inspections, develops recommendations and letters aimed at training and advanced training of observers of meteorological stations, agrometeorological and hydrological posts.
This week, the seminars are devoted to the peculiarities of conducting snow surveys during the snowmelt period, and also dwell in detail on observations of the depth of freezing and thawing of the soil. The results of these observations are the basis for hydrological forecasts and agrometeorological forecasts.
Recall that at the end of February, Kazhydromet RSE will present the results of growing wintering crops and assessing their viability, forecasts of moisture reserves in the soil by the beginning of field work and optimal sowing dates will be presented by March 25.
