Published 16.02.2022 On February 16, 2022, Kazhydromet RSE held a round table with representatives of domestic travel companies specializing in domestic tourism. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the weather forecast for the points of tourist routes of Kazakhstan.

At the moment, forecasting by points of tourist zones is carried out in eight regions: Almaty, Akmola, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Turkestan and Mangystau.
The weather forecast for tourist routes is developed on the basis of numerical forecasting methods. The initial data for this method uses information from ground-based weather stations, aerological stations and weather satellites. This model can be global, covering the entire Earth, or local, covering a separate section of the planet. The forecast reflects data for each point for the next 3-7 days, these are air temperature, wind strength, precipitation and atmospheric pressure.
The event was attended by offline and online representatives of the tourism industry. The participants of the round table expressed their wishes for the further development of forecasting in tourist areas and voiced the most popular information for tourists and operators.
Following the results of the meeting, RSE "Kazhydromet" expressed the hope that the forecasts will help domestic tourists to have the most exciting vacation and choose the days with the most comfortable weather for travel.
