In the first decade of the month, most of the republic was under the influence of a spur of the Siberian anticyclone. Since the middle of the period, with the frequent passage of atmospheric frontal sections associated with the southern and north-western cyclones, unstable weather patterns have been observed in the south: precipitation has passed, in some areas strong. For example, on February 6, 22 mm fell at the Shayan weather station in the Turkestan region (46 mm at the norm for the month), 25.1 mm at the Shymkent weather station (81 mm at the norm for the month), 24 mm at the Kazygurt weather station (72 mm at the norm for the month). At the beginning of the second decade, a cyclone from the regions of Iceland covered most of Kazakhstan, and therefore mixed precipitation (rain, snow) took place almost throughout the country. In the third decade of the month, the anticyclonic type of weather prevailed in most of the country, only the north-western regions were influenced by the cyclone trough from the Barents Sea regions.
In the first decade, daytime air temperatures rose in the northern and central regions to +1 ° C, in the western regions to +6 ° C, in the southwestern and southern regions to +11+15 ° C. On some days of the first decade of February, records of maximum air temperatures were updated, for example, on February 3 at the Fort Shevchenko weather station (Mangystau region), the air temperature rose to +13 ° C, as a result, the previous record of this day was updated, which was +10.2 ° C in 2021. At the beginning of the second decade, with the strengthening of the influence of the Siberian anticyclone spur, there was a decrease in air temperature in the northeastern regions of the republic at night to -33.7 ° C, during the day to -22.2 ° C, but these days records of minimum temperatures were not observed. In the third decade of the month, an increase in air temperature was observed almost throughout the entire territory of the republic. On some days of the third decade of February, records of maximum air temperatures were updated, again at the Fort Shevchenko weather station on February 25, the air temperature rose to +17.6 ° C, as a result, the previous record of this day was updated, which was +14.0 ° C in 1987, on February 26 at the Atyrau weather station, the air temperature rose to +14.4 ° C, as a result, the previous record of this day was updated, which was +10.2 ° C in 1966.
The average monthly air temperature in almost the entire territory of Kazakhstan was above the norm by 1-8 °, only in the extreme east and south-east of the country near the climatic norm. The amount of precipitation in February was less than normal in most of the republic, about normal - in the north-western half of the country, in the west of Mangystau, in the north-west of Kyzylorda, in the west and south-east of Karaganda, in the south-east of Almaty regions, 1.3-2.1 times higher than normal - in most of Atyrau, in the south-east of Aktobe, in the center of Kostanay, in the north of Akmola and Pavlodar regions.
