Kazhydromet has released a preliminary drought forecast for June 2022

According to the preliminary forecast, there is a low probability of drought in most parts of the republic in June, mainly humidification conditions are expected to be close to normal.
Moderate drought is expected in the Moyinkum district of Zhambyl region.
Severe drought is predicted in the Karmakchinsky district of the Kyzylorda region and in the Karakiyansky district of the Mangystau region.
Favorable moderately humid conditions are expected in Ryskulovsky district of Zhambyl region, Wilsky district of Aktobe region and in Sairam district of Turkestan region.
It should be noted that the intensity and impact of drought in each region of Kazakhstan is manifested differently. Kyzylorda and Mangystau regions, in accordance with agro-climatic zoning, belong mainly to the VIII agro-climatic zone and are characterized as a very dry, hot zone prone to droughts.
