Published 11.11.2022 From November 7 to 18, 2022, employees of Kazhydromet RSE take part in the short-term course "Small Satellite Missions", which takes place at IIRS (ISRO), Dehradun, India. The training course was organized by the Educational Center for Space Science and Technology in the Asia-Pacific Region (CSSTEAP). Of all the applicants, the organizers approved only a part. Following the results of CSSTEAP, four specialists from Kazhydromet RSE took a short-term course on the topic "The eleventh mission of a small satellite".
The course structure is balanced between technical presentations, animation and assignments. Students will take part in lectures on the advantages of space technologies, get acquainted with the application for remote sensing of the earth and technologies for the creation of satellites. The key topics will be "Application of small satellites and future trends", as well as "Management of small satellites".
For employees of the Weather Service of Kazakhstan, this course is useful as a good technical guide when working with satellite maps and numerical forecast models.
