In its anniversary year, RSE "Kazhydromet" continues to ensure the hydrometeorological safety of the country, timely warning about expected hydrometeorological phenomena, reducing threats to the life and property of the population!
During 2022, Kazhydromet continuously conducted meteorological, hydrological, agrometeorological monitoring and environmental monitoring, various hydrometeorological forecasts were issued daily, as well as:
- The list of cities for forecasting adverse meteorological conditions (NMU) has been expanded from 13 to 21.
- Since January 2022, the provision of environmental monitoring has been reached 100%.
- A division for the study and forecasting of mudslides of rain genesis has been organized;
- Updated climatic norms for precipitation and temperature taking into account the last 10 years.
- Calculations of climatic norms for weather stations in Kazakhstan for the period 1991-2020 were made using Clino climate packages, according to the request of the WMO.
