Although the first days of spring are already on the calendar, but the weather in the northern half of the country is still winter. The reason for this is the hollow of the active Atlantic cyclone and the associated cold atmospheric fronts with large reserves of moisture, which are shifting across the republic, causing heavy precipitation, in the form of rain and snow, ice, fog, gusty wind with a grass–roots blizzard. The weather without precipitation will remain in the southern regions only on March 02, then unstable weather is also expected there, precipitation (rain, sleet) will pass, fog and ice in the mountains.
Under the influence of cold fronts, the air temperature is expected to decrease at night in the northern half of the Republic of Kazakhstan to 10-20 frost, and in the southern half at night to 7 frost-2 heat.
