Conditions for the growth and development of grain crops were satisfactory, precipitation was below normal. Lowering the air temperature at night in the east and south-east of the country to minus 3 ° C was not so dangerous for the emergence of spring grain crops. At the same time, the processes of germination and emergence of seedlings at low temperatures proceed very slowly.
In the observed areas on spring wheat crops in the west (in West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions), there is a phase of "grain germination" - "tillering", the condition of plants is everywhere good, the height of wheat reaches 11-19 cm.
In the north, the phase of "germination of grain" - "shoots" is observed in early crops, in some areas, weed treatment with herbicides is carried out.
In the center of the country, in the observed areas (in Karaganda and Ulytau regions), the phase of "grain germination" - "formation of nodular roots" is observed on spring wheat crops. In early crops , the height of wheat reaches 13 cm . The condition of spring barley is excellent everywhere.

In the Kazalinsky and Shielinsky districts of the Kyzylorda region, the condition of rice in the observed areas is good. The development phase is "3rd leaf", the height of plants reaches 20 cm. Nitrogen fertilizers have been introduced and water has been injected into rice checks. In Almaty and Zhetysu regions, the development phase is "shoots", water is drained from rice checks at the sites.
In the south and south-east of the republic, the phase of development "fruit formation" is marked in apple orchards - "the end of shoot growth". The condition of fruit crops (cherry, pear, apple tree) is everywhere good, chemical treatment of apple trees and feeding irrigation have begun.
On crops of perennial grasses (alfalfa, clover), there is a phase of "stem growth" – "appearance of inflorescences", in some areas "flowering". The condition of alfalfa herbs is good. Vegetation watering of alfalfa is carried out in the Turkestan region, the 1st mowing of herbs continues.
In general, the prevailing weather conditions for the 3rd decade of May favored grazing. On the larger territory of pasture animal husbandry, the dry and wet condition of the sod was mainly noted.
