From November 6 to 10, 2023, a seminar "Assessment, management and monitoring of transboundary climate risks on the Danube River" was held in Germany and Austria. The aim was to study and discuss best practices and management of water resources along the Danube River in these countries.
The course is designed for managers and specialists from Central Asian countries responsible for water resources and the environment. Employees of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan studied the experience of water resources management along the Danube River, visited monitoring stations and got acquainted with the latest technologies for collecting climate data and early warning systems presented by European specialists. It was a useful experience for the development of adaptation to the conditions of the Central Asian region.
From the point of view of the organizers of the training, Central Asia is interesting for them to discuss the possibilities of adapting their experience to the conditions of this region.
