In the first decade of January, warm weather continued in the south and south-east of the republic in areas where winter crops were cultivated, with an average daily air temperature of 6...10°Since it exceeded the norm, precipitation fell mostly less and near the norm.
In the vicinity of Shymkent station in Turkestan region, against the background of positive air temperatures, on the fourth day of the decade, the resumption of winter wheat vegetation is observed. The development phase is "3rd leaf", the condition of the plants is satisfactory.
The snow has melted due to an increase in air temperature in the fields of the south and south-east except (Kyrgyzsai station 6 cm) of the Almaty region, which may affect the passage of winter wheat overwintering in severe frosts. The depth of soil freezing ranged from 2 cm to 21 cm.
Frequent thaws in the south and south-east of the republic for up to 3 days, alternating with nighttime negative air temperatures in the south (minus 3...5 ° C) and in the south-east (minus 6... 11 ° C), can lead to damage to poorly developed plants on winter wheat crops.
The minimum soil temperature at the depth of the tillering node of winter wheat in the south of the country was 0 °C and in the southeast to minus 2-4 °C.
The agrometeorological conditions for wintering winter crops in most areas were satisfactory.
In general, in the first decade of January, the weather in most of the pasture livestock area favored grazing.
At the end of the decade, pastures in most regions were moderately grazed, pastures in the Almaty region (Village No. 4 station), in the Zhetysu region (Akzhar station), in the West Kazakhstan region (Buldurt and Taipak stations) were severely grazed.
