Published 29.01.2024 On January 27, 2024, Vladimir Sergeevich Kan, a professional in his field, the head of the Shymkent meteorological station, passed away.
Vladimir Sergeevich was born in 1964 in Karaganda. He began his career at RSE Kazhydromet in 2001 as an observer of the hydrological post of the Kishi river in Almaty - below the mouth of the Sarysai River. Since October 2003, he transferred to the position of meteorologist at the Shymkent snow avalanche station, and since 2022 became the head.
Vladimir Sergeevich was a kind, sympathetic and fair person, always helped and participated in the life of the station, trained young specialists, shared his experience and knowledge, was a sensitive and professional mentor. Vladimir Sergeevich has worked in the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan for more than 20 years.
