Preliminary assessment of flood-prone areas of the Yesil River basin

In the period of February 21-24, 2024, employees of RSE "Kazhydromet" together with specialists of the emergency Department conducted planned field route snow measuring surveys along the basin of the river. Yesil is above the Astana reservoir.
Snow is unevenly distributed throughout the territory, the average height of the snow cover was 43 cm, the water supply in the snow cover averaged 125 mm. The soil is frozen, there is a trace on the surface.
To date, the process of snow accumulation continues.
