Preliminary assessment of flood-prone areas in East Kazakhstan and Abai regions

In the period from February 23 to 27, 2024, employees of the Kazhydromet branch of the RSE in East Kazakhstan and Abai regions, together with employees of the Emergency Department of the Abai region, conducted planned field route snow measuring surveys.
The average height of the snow cover ranged from 5 to 150 cm, the water supply in the snow cover ranged from 25 to 219 mm.
To date, the process of snow accumulation continues.
