As of April 9, 2024, soil freezing continues in Akmola, most of Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions, as well as in the north of West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan regions.
In the West Kazakhstan region - the freezing depth reaches 43 cm in the Taskala region, thawing 20 cm, in the northern half of the Syrym region - 58 cm, thawing 38 cm. In the Burlinsky region, freezing is 63-77 cm, thawing is 36-58. In the Zelenovsky district freezing is up to 76 cm, thawing is up to 65 cm, in the vicinity of the city of Uralsk freezing is 54 cm, thawing is 36 cm. In other regions of the region, the soil has thawed completely.
In the Aktobe region, freezing remains in Martuk, Khromtau, Kargalinsky and in the Aiteke bi district, the freezing depth is 10-90 cm, thawing of the top soil layer is from 2-9 cm to 53 cm.
In the north and center of the Kostanay region, the freezing depth is still significant - from 60-83 cm to 104-153 cm. Thawing of the top layer is mainly from 3-6cm to 30-37cm, in the Zhangeldinsky region it is 63cm. In the city of Arkalyk, frozen soil today remains only at a depth of 14-22 cm. In the Altynsara region and in the south of the region, complete thawing is observed.
In the North Kazakhstan region, freezing is uneven - the depth varies from 37-58 to 100-143 cm. Thawing of the top layer occurs slowly and ranges only from 1 to 32 cm.
Complete thawing of the soil is observed only in certain locations - in the village. Talshik Akzharsky district, Novoishimsky in the river. G. Musrepova, in the village. Bulak, Esilsky district and in Petropavlovsk.
In the Akmola region, soil freezing today averages from 90-166 cm; in the area of the village of Balkashino, frozen soil from the surface is up to 49 cm. Thawing from above is noted from 14-20 cm in the west of the region to 104 cm in the east. In the vicinity of Zerenda, the soil has completely thawed.
In the northern half of the Karaganda region, the freezing depth varies from 56 to 150 cm, thawing from above is noted to depths of 24 cm to 75 cm. Complete thawing in the Shetsky, Abaysky districts, in most of the Karkaralysky district, in the western half of the Nura district, as well as in the Zhanaarkinsky district of the Ulytau region.
In the Ulytau region, a small layer of frozen soil is preserved only at a depth of 122-139 cm in the Ulytau region
In the Pavlodar region, the lower boundary of frozen soil is noted at a depth of 69 to 150 cm, in the northeast of the region it reaches 228 cm, thawing from above occurs unevenly from 3-6 cm to 75-80 cm. Complete thawing is observed in the vicinity of the villages of Krasnoarmeyka in Pavlodar and Shaldai in Sharbaktinsky district.
In the East Kazakhstan region, the freezing depth in the Glubokovsky and Altai regions is 34-46 cm with slight thawing at the soil surface. In the Ulansky region, freezing is 80-92 cm, thawing is 34-52 cm. In Katon-Karagai, freezing is observed at a depth of 25-97 cm, in Zaisan - in a soil layer of 65-76 cm. There is no freezing in the Tarbagatai, Kurshim, and Shemonaikha regions.
In most of the Abay region, the soil has also thawed, only in the Zharma region frozen soil is noted in a layer of 48-71 cm, in Beskaragay - in a layer of 47-142 cm.
