The state of the Caspian Sea level in its Kazakh part

On May 3, 2024, the level of the Caspian Sea in its northeastern part, according to the naval station Peshnaya, is about -27.87 m BS (13 cm), in the eastern part, according to Fort Shevchenko, Aktau, Kulaly Island is about -29.16 m BS (-1.16 m).
It is worth noting that the sea level rise at the Peshnaya marine station is associated with the high water period on the Zhaiyk River and this process is repeated annually with varying intensity in April-May.
The level on the river Zhaiyk – Atyrau on May 3, 2024 is 471 cm.
According to the forecast of RSE Kazhydromet for May 2-7, 2024, the average sea level in the Northern Caspian is expected to be around minus 28.50 m, with fluctuations from -27.77 m to -29.39 m. In the middle Caspian Sea, it is predicted that the sea level will average around minus 29.10 m, with fluctuations from -28.65 m to -29.55 m.
Run-up phenomena are not expected, sea level fluctuations will not exceed 15 cm.
