In general, in July 2024, humidification in Kazakhstan is mainly expected to be close to long-term values, but the area of territories threatened by the onset of atmospheric drought is increasing.
Atmospheric drought is expected:
in Kostanay region in Amangelda and Dzhangelda districts;
in Aitekebisky district, in Bayganinsky, Wilsky, Khromtau and Shalkar districts of Aktobe region;
in the Shetsky district of the Karaganda region;
in Ulytau and Zhanaarkin districts of Ulytau region;
in Balkhash and Zhambyl districts of Almaty region;
in Moyinkum, Zhualin and T. Ryskulovsky districts of Zhambyl region;
in Arys, Suzak, Kazygurt, Turkestan, Otrar and Baidibek districts of Turkestan region;
in the Aral, Kazalinsky, Karmakshinsky, Shiili districts of the Kyzylorda region;
in the Beine, Mangistau and Karakiyansky districts of the Mangistau region;
and in the predominant territory of the Atyrau region.
Moderately humid weather is expected in July in Tayynshyn district of North Kazakhstan region, in Sandyktau, Burabai, Astrakhan districts of Akmola region and in Stepnogrosk.
In the rest of the country, humidification conditions are expected to be close to normal for this month.
