The drought forecast for August was released by Kazhydromet

According to the preliminary calculation of the SIO for the month of August and taking into account the accumulated precipitation in recent months, atmospheric humidification conditions are expected to be mostly close to normal, and in some areas of the grain-growing region, conditions are predicted to be moderately humid.
Atmospheric drought is expected in the territory of the Moyinkum district of the Zhambyl region.
Moderately humid in August is expected:
in Tayynshinsky, Ualikhanov districts and in the area of Musrepov, North Kazakhstan region;
in Karasu district of Kostanay region;
in Zerendinsky, Sandyktau, Burabay, Atbasar, Astrakhan, Egindykol and Yerementau districts of Akmola region and in Stepnogrosk;
in Aktogay, Irtysh, Zhelezinsky, Kashyrsky, Ekibastuz, Sharbaktinsky districts of Pavlodar region and Pavlodar;
in Aitekebisky, Alginsky, Kargalinsky and Mugalzhar districts of Aktobe region;
in Katon-Karagai district and in the Altai region of East Kazakhstan region.
In the rest of the country, humidification conditions are expected to be close to normal for this month.
