The public organization "Arnica" (Prague, Czech Republic), the Karaganda Regional Ecological Museum and the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan held a meeting "Air quality monitoring: best practices and cooperation".
During the meeting, the experience of the two countries in the field of air quality monitoring was discussed, as well as opportunities for cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic in this area. The participants discussed monitoring systems, modern methods of measuring pollutants and the use of data for management decision-making.
Special attention was paid to the issues of interaction between scientific institutions, government agencies and public organizations to improve air quality and inform the public.
