Future geographers came to Kazhydromet

Students of the Faculty of Geography of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai attended an excursion to the Kazhydromet RSE. Future teachers got acquainted with the work of the Hydrometeorological Center and the Museum of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan. Of particular interest were historical data on the country's climate and weather, which have been stored in the Kazhydromet archive for more than 150 years.
This was a unique opportunity for students not only to see the rich heritage of hydrometeorological science, but also to understand the importance of transferring this knowledge to future generations through teaching geography.
