As of February 10, 2025, soil freezing is observed in most of the country, thawed soil remains only in certain areas of southern Kazakhstan.

Last year, on February 10, the maximum freezing depth was recorded in Pavlodar and reached 189-213 cm.
The freezing of the soil continues and will depend on the temperature background and the thickness of the snow cover during the winter. The maximum freezing depth usually reaches in February-March.
