An international seminar on the topic "Needs and applications of climate data management to support climate reporting", organized with the support of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), opened in the building of the Kazhydromet RSE.
The purpose of the workshop is to improve the quality and scientific validity of global, regional and national climate reports through the use of reliable and sustainably managed climate data. The event is attended by experts from the SERCOM — ET DDS and ET MCCVC working groups, who join forces to improve monitoring methods, exchange climate information and transparency of reporting procedures.
During the seminar, RSE Kazhydromet presented its experience in the field of climate monitoring, data exchange, data collection, storage and climate research. Special attention is paid to the development of national potential and strengthening the role of Kazakhstan in the international climate network of the WMO.
The workshop will last until June 26, 2025 and will become an important platform for professional exchange and coordination of efforts in the field of global climate observation.
