On August 15, 2025, the Republican State Enterprise "Kazhydromet" and the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of meteorology and air quality.
The document is aimed at developing and strengthening cooperation between the parties, exchanging experience and best practices in meteorology, climatology, air quality, and hydrology.
The Memorandum of Understanding lays the foundation for the implementation of joint projects aimed at enhancing the capacity of the national hydrometeorological service and promoting regional cooperation.
