Kazhydromet participated in the 9th (29th) session of the Coordinating Committee for Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea (CASPCOM)

On September 4-5, 2025, the 9th (29th) session of the Coordinating Committee for Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea (CASPCOM) was held in the Russian Federation.
On behalf of RSE Kazhydromet, First Deputy Director General Sairov Serik took part in the event.
The session discussed key issues of cooperation between the Caspian Littoral states in the field of hydrometeorology, including:
• Implementation of the recommendations of the previous (8th) session of CASPCOM;
• Current state and prospects of national activities in the field of hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea;
• Issues of cooperation with international organizations on lowering the level of the Caspian Sea;
• Implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea.
Special attention was paid to the issues of data exchange, coordination of joint actions to monitor the state of the Caspian Sea and the involvement of young specialists in solving urgent environmental problems in the region.
Following the session, the parties agreed to further strengthen cooperation and develop joint initiatives in the field of hydrometeorology.
