With the onset of calendar winter, the weather pleased Kazakhstanis with warmth. However, winter is winter, and in the coming days it will assert its rights: a cold anticyclone is moving from the regions of Novaya Zemlya to the territory of Kazakhstan. Rapidly shifting through the territory of our republic, it will bring with it a significant decrease in air temperature, first in the north, and then in the rest of the country. As early as January 14 in the northern regions, and on January 15 in the eastern regions, the thermometer will drop to 30-38 degrees Celsius at night. Despite the frosty weather, the rapid displacement of the anticyclone will also lead to increased winds, with gusts reaching 28 m/s in some areas in the northern half of the country.
