Danara Kizatovna Alimbayeva, Director General of Kazhydromet, held a bilateral meeting with Celeste Saulo, Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization.
During the talks, the parties discussed key areas of development of the hydrometeorological service of Kazakhstan, as well as issues of strengthening cooperation with the World Meteorological Organization. Special attention was paid to the modernization of the observation network, the development of forecasting systems and the improvement of the quality of hydrometeorological services.
Initiatives in the field of climate monitoring, the introduction of modern technologies and the training of qualified personnel were also considered.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects aimed at increasing resilience to climate risks and ensuring public safety.
