Kazhydromet RSE was visited by pupils of the Neo Science Lab Children's Science Center. An excursion was organized for the children, during which they got acquainted with the work of the national Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan.
The students were told about the history of Kazhydromet, how the hydrometeorological service of the country developed and what tasks it performs today. The students learned what specialists in various fields — weather forecasters, hydrologists, agrometeorologists and environmentalists - do, as well as why their work is important for people's daily lives.
During the tour, the children visited the Kazhydromet Museum, where they got acquainted with the history of the service, saw meteorological instruments from different years and learned how weather observations were carried out earlier.
A visit to the Hydrometeorological Center was of particular interest. Here, the children were shown how experts analyze data from weather stations, monitor weather processes and make forecasts. The young guests were able to see with their own eyes how weather forecasts and warnings about dangerous phenomena are created.
The tour turned out to be informative and fascinating. The guys asked a lot of questions, were interested in the work of specialists and got acquainted with the world of hydrometeorology with great interest.
