With the passage of atmospheric frontal sections, rains with thunderstorms, increased winds, and possible hail are forecast for most of the republic. Fog is expected in the northern half of the country at night and in the morning. Heavy rain is expected on August 20 in the center of Kazakhstan, on August 21 in the east, on August 22 in the northwest and in the mountainous regions of southeastern Kazakhstan.
Intense heat will remain in the western regions and in the south-east of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the daytime, the temperature columns in these regions will reach +30+38 °C, in some areas of the Mangystau region +41°C.
No significant changes in the temperature background are expected in the rest of the territory. In Kostanay region, the temperature columns will reach +20+30°C, in the northern regions +17+28°C, in the central and eastern regions +17+30°C, in the south of Kazakhstan the temperature background is predicted to be +30+38°C.
