"Kazhydromet" conducted an excursion for students of the 7th grade of the Republican Physics and Mathematics School.
During the tour, the students learned how the national hydrometeorological service was created and developed, got acquainted with the history of Kazhydromet and learned what the company is doing today.
The students were told about the main areas of Kazhydromet's work — meteorology, hydrology, environmental monitoring, agrometeorology and other areas. The students were able to learn how experts monitor the weather, rivers and the state of the environment, as well as how these data are used to prepare forecasts and warnings.
The children were particularly interested in visiting the Hydrometeorological Center. Here they saw how experts work with meteorological information, analyze data and make weather forecasts.
