Winter is approaching, forecasters a few days ago warned residents of the Northern part of the country about the impact of the cyclone from the regions of Scandinavia. These days, the cyclone brought precipitation in the form of rain turned into snow and increased wind. At night, the thermometer in the North of the Republic dropped to 2-7 degrees below zero.
Storm warnings issued by the hydrometeorological center are justified. On October 21-22, several storm warnings were sent out in the North Kazakhstan, Akmola, Kostanay, Aktobe, Pavlodar and Karaganda regions, where residents were warned about increased wind, precipitation in the form of rain turning into snow and wind strengthening from 15 to 20 m/s.
Residents of the Northern regions of the country these days watched as the forecasts were justified. The first snow and strong wind were recorded by weather stations in almost all Northern regions.
RSE "Kazhydromet" asks Kazakhstanis to be careful on the roads, carefully study the forecasts before traveling and, as far as possible, cancel outdoor activities these days.
