December is the first month of winter. In December, there is a further strengthening of the Siberian anticyclone, the longest nights and shortest days are set.
The air temperature continues to drop. The average monthly air temperature on the Eastern coast of the Caspian sea is still positive, up to 1°C, in the rest of the Republic it decreases from the South-West and South from 0, -5°C to the North and East to-13-18°C. The lowest average monthly air temperature in the North-East of the East Kazakhstan region is-20-24°C.

In the West of the country with a predominance of anticyclonal weather type, mostly no precipitation is expected. Only at the end of the first decade, with the passage of the frontal sections, snow and wind strengthening are expected, the air temperature will rise at night to -9-15°C, in the afternoon to 0,-5°C.
