For 37 years, Natalia Ivanovna's work has been continuously connected with the Hydrometeorological service of Kazakhstan. She has held positions from engineer, division of hydrological calculations and forecasts to the head of Department hydro-meteorological study of the Caspian sea by "Kazgidromet"rhe.
Currently, she is the National coordinator for the international data exchange (IODE) project of the intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, an expert of the WMO Technical Commission on Oceanography and marine meteorology (JCOMM WMO), a member of the expert group of the coordinating Committee on Hydrometeorology and pollution monitoring of the Caspian sea (CASPCOM).
Natalia Ivanovna has been Deputy editor-in-Chief of the scientific and technical quarterly journal "Hydrometeorology and ecology"for many years.
