Caspian Sea level forecast for January 07-12, 2021

The Caspian Sea contains about 40 percent of the Earth's internal waters. The salinity of water in the Caspian Sea is three times lower than in the World Ocean. More than a hundred rivers flow into the sea, and they replenish it with fresh water.
RSE "Kazhydromet" makes a weekly forecast of the level of the Caspian Sea. In the Middle Caspian Sea, sea level fluctuation is expected around minus 28.30 m, with a rise to a maximum of minus 28.01 m and a decline to a minimum of minus 28.85 m.
The actual state of the water surface of the Caspian Sea for the period from December 28, 2020 – January 02, 2021 corresponds to the previous weekly forecast.
