In 2020, the meteorological observation network was optimized. As a result, observations were switched to automatic mode at 28 meteorological stations. Thus, the equipment was released, due to which 11 new weather stations were additionally opened. This made it possible, without additional costs for the purchase of equipment, to increase the number of observation points from 330 to 341 and to increase the provision of the country's territory with meteorological monitoring from 78.4 to 81%.
