In 2020, RSE "Kazhydromet" opened 25 new hydrological posts. The expansion of the hydrological observation network allowed increasing the coverage of the country's territory by hydrological monitoring to 75.4%. Forecasting the river regime during the spring flood is a very important and very difficult task. In order to improve the methods of hydrological forecasts, work was carried out to update and develop guidelines for forecasting the flow of spring flood of lowland and mountain rivers.
