RSE "Kazhydromet" reports that within the framework of the project of the US Department of State (US Embassy in Kazakhstan/ US Embassy in Kazakhstan) The PM-1, RM-2.5 and RM-10 suspended particle sensors are installed at five manual sampling stations of the RSE "Kazhydromet" in Ust-Kamenogorsk (the sensors were installed by Pavel Alexandrov). Thus, the number of stations displaying online concentrations of PM-2.5 and PM-10 in Ust-Kamenogorsk increased from 2 to 7 units.
Particles of this size make up most of the dust and get deep into the lungs, are dangerous for allergy sufferers and people with upper respiratory tract diseases.
RSE "Kazhydromet" continues to work on the development of the network, and this year it is planned to install an additional 3 stations in Ust-Kamenogorsk, allowing to determine all the main pollutants in the air, including PM-2.5 and PM-10. It is also planned to automate 5 manual sampling stations to improve the efficiency of environmental information.
