Frequent thaws in the south of the country, alternating with nighttime negative air temperatures, can lead to damage to poorly developed plants on winter wheat crops.
In the observed areas in the Turkestan region, the resumption of the vegetation of winter wheat, the development phase: seedlings, the condition of the plants is mostly good.
In the West Kazakhstan region, in the areas of winter grain crops cultivation, a stable snow cover (15-24 cm) remains, which has a protective effect, so the low air temperature (minus 24-28C) was not so dangerous for overwintering of winter crops.
In general, grazing of animals was carried out at the points of observation of pasture animal husbandry. Animals in Kostanay and Atyrau regions continue to be kept in stables.
Icy phenomena were observed in places in Atyrau, Zhambyl and Mangystau regions.
In the past decade, in some places on the territory of pasture livestock, a strong snowstorm was observed on pastures in the North Kazakhstan, Atyrau and West Kazakhstan regions. Heavy snowfall was observed in Karaganda, Atyrau and Kyzylorda regions.
