Brief agrometeorological review for the 1st decade of May 2021

In the south and south-east of the republic, favorable conditions were observed for the growth and development of winter wheat, the precipitation somewhat replenished the moisture reserves in the soil.
In the observed areas in the Almaty region, the condition of winter wheat is generally excellent and good. The height of the plants reaches from 23 to 35 cm, low-growing crops are 9-13 cm in the vicinity of MS Uzynagash, MS Sarkand and MS Taldykorgan. Phase of development: tillering-the appearance of the lower stem node.
On the crops around MS Akkainar, weeds are common, but do not significantly depress cultivated plants, on the other sites (Taldykorgan, MS Uzynagash), weeds are rare, invisible among cultivated plants.
In the Zhambyl region, in the observed areas, the height of winter wheat reaches 18-33 cm, around the MS Measure 12 cm, the condition of the plants is everywhere good. Phase of development: tillering-the appearance of the lower stem node, the appearance of weeds is noted.
At the observed sites in the Turkestan region, winter wheat is in the phase: stemming the appearance of the lower stem node. The height of the plants is from 20 to 30 cm, the condition of the plants is mostly good, around the AMP Ekpendy is satisfactory.
In the southern regions of the republic, the sowing of spring grain crops was completed, except for the Almaty region, where meteorological conditions somewhat hindered the completion of field work in the foothill areas.
In the Almaty region, the early spring wheat crops are marked by a phase: the germination of grain – the 3rd leaf (MS Ushtobe), the condition of the plants is generally good.
