During the tour, the children visited the meteorological site, where most of the devices are installed (a psychometric booth with thermometers and hygrometers, devices for measuring wind speed and direction, a precipitation meter, soil thermometers, weather vents, etc.), visited the building of the weather station, where observations are processed and the Hydrometeorological Center, where the weather forecast is compiled. Kazhydromet specialists demonstrated the entire process from meteorological monitoring to making a weather forecast. The young observers also recorded a phone number to call and find out the exact air temperature, atmospheric pressure, and even the temperature of the soil around the clock.
