Kazhydromet releases drought forecast for August
According to the final forecast, atmospheric drought is expected in August 2026
in the Bokeyordinsky and Zhanybeksky districts of the West Kazakhstan region.;
in the Shalkar and Irgiz districts of Aktobe region;
in Kurmangazinsky district of Atyrau region;
in Balkhash district of Almaty region;
in Moyinkum, Kordai, Sarysu, Talas and Zhambyl districts of Zhambyl region;
in Aryssk, Suzak, Kazygurt, Ordabasi, Shardara, Zhetysai, Baydibek and Kelessky districts of Turkestan region;
in Kazalinsky, Karmakshinsky, Shieli districts and in the city of Kyzylorda, Kyzylorda region.
Moderately humid weather is forecast in Timiryazevsky district of North Kazakhstan region and Uzunkol district of Kostanay region.
Humidification conditions are expected to be close to normal in the rest of the country.
