In the first decade of July, in the south and south-east of the republic, in the areas of winter wheat cultivation, there were mainly good meteorological conditions for filling and full ripeness of grain, precipitation somewhat hindered harvesting in the Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions.
Winter wheat had a phase of "milk ripeness" - "full ripeness", harvesting operations were started everywhere.
During the decade, hot weather with precipitation was observed in the northern half of the republic, good humidification conditions due to precipitation above the norm were observed in the main grain-growing regions, except for the Kostanay region, where precipitation fell below the norm. The treatment of crops against weeds with herbicides continues. In the southern regions, meteorological conditions were generally favorable for the full ripeness of grain and the beginning of harvesting operations.
In the northern regions, the condition of spring wheat in the observed areas is good and satisfactory, the development phase is "stalking" - "earing", in some areas - "flowering". The height of wheat reaches 22-62 cm, on late crops up to 20 cm. The average number of stems per 1 sq. m. was from 150 to 648 pcs., stems with an ear from 136 to 624 pcs., the number of spikelets in an ear of wheat is 7-17 pcs. , of which up to 4 are underdeveloped. In the observed areas around the Blagoveshchenka stations in the North Kazakhstan region, wheat crops were treated with pesticides.
